Growing Affections

The drawing is very cute and soft. What brush do you use? I find that the hard round brush is the best to use because it makes you shadows crisp and hard, while at the same time making it fadey and blendy. You know what I mean? Look at my digital pieces to see. It looks like you're just using an airbrush, which makes all the shadows and highlights blend a little -too- smoothly.
Don't be afraid of shadows! Darkerrrrrr! xD
I like your choice of texture in the background because it plays nicely against the guy's coloring, but neither figure as any texture in themselves, so instead of blending seamlessly with the environment, they look kinda tacked on there.
The colors from the boy's armor should be reflecting onto the girl's skin.
The girl's eye looks quite good. I like the way it is lidded and how it's set in the face. However, I don't feel the same way about the boy's eye. The eyelids should wrap AROUND the eyeball, which is INSIDE the skull... see pages 37 to 40 to see.
